6 out of 100

6 out of 100
Collaboration project with Swarovski and Central Saint Martins BA Jewellery Design. A neckpiece that is made of 100 pieces of broken heel parts and used Swarovski crystals to represent gender inequality. Only 6 of them have a crystal embedded in the centre. It represents the fact that there were only six female CEOs among the top 100 UK companies in 2019. The broken heels without a crystal represent women who were not promoted - something which may not have happened if they were men.
Material: Recycled heel parts, crystals and brass
Model: Smaranda Voican
Year of production: 2019

Private exhibition at Karsee Kashima office in Tokyo.
